Supposedly she's going to be in the movie version of "I Dream of Jeannie". I have mixed feelings about her, when made up to the hilt she's pretty, but usually she's kind of plain looking. She definetely has that sweet bubbly pesona going, but who knows if it's real or not. She seemed to be on the fast track with "Almost Famous" then fizzled into romcom queen. However, I usually find her pretty inoffensive and watchable. At the old board that abandoned us (where I was a petty lurker) everyone said her husband was a first class jerk although I'm not sure why.

She can't act. Almost Famous probably wasn't that much of a stretch for her and since then she has gotten exposed in almost every flick since then.

I don't know why she hasn't completely fallen into obscurity.

I hate all the totally random sexist crap she seems to spew all over the place. Some quotes I've found from her that piss me off:

"I'm not a feminist, I'm just not. Women are domestic creatures. We take care of people, we nurture, we are protectors. "

"Men are still animals and we need to make them happy."

I actually think it is fine if she is not a feminist and enjoys domestic activities as much as she says she does, but I hate that she thinks this opinion applies to ALL women. What about women, like me, who are NOT "domestic creatures"? What about the women who do not have millions of dollars and can't afford to be "domestic creatures"? I also hate when female celebrities bash feminism. Do they know where they would be without it? Oh, and her fugly husband creeps me out.

ETA: At that other place there was speculation that she had a nose job. Thoughts?

I've read a few annoying *gems* from her, too. I don't have this word-for-word, but she once said something about how, as a man, her husband is supposed to act like an ego-driven ass, and as his woman, she just loves him for it. Gack.

Yes I believe she said something like she wants her husband to feel like the man of the house or some such crap. She also thinks the worst thing a women can be is a ball buster. What I think is so weird is she says all this sexist drivel entirely unprovoked. It's like the interviewer will ask her about her movie or something and she'll be like, "I love baking pies for my man and having lots of babies! That's what women do, you know!"

I agree the "women's place" crap really turns me off. Gee thanks Kate Hudson for telling me I'm a bad woman because I don't jump through hoops for my man all the time. She can be very annoying at times, which is part of the reason I'm torn between sorta liking and hating her.

Hudson looks haggard.

She's only 25 but having a kid added several years to her face.

Her whole appeal was based on being cute, sexy and vibrant and once that went out the window, her audience seemed to disappear.

I'll always love her simply because of How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days. I adore that movie!

And she seems to have a great sense of style. It's bohemian chic or something.

I've always gotten the impression that she and her hubby have a bad relationship. There's a sizable age gap and it seems as though he may be somewhat controlling. I base these thoughts on no real evidence, though.

I kinda got that impression too. It seems since she is more famous than him, she tries to up his ego with all the "man of the house" crap.

ETA: On that other site there was some discussion about her husband supposedly telling her to get her fat ass in shape after her pregnancy. Does anyone know where this gossip comes from?
