I loved that, and Marshall and Lily waiting until enough time had passed (read: immediately) before shouting that they hated Karen.

Last night's episode was such a throwaway, but it was one of the funniest half hours I've seen in a long time! Barney's explanation of how Jesus invented the three-day rule had me in tears.
Also, Marshall and Barney should stop fighting over Ted and embrace their own bromance. I thought I was going to hate Marshall selling out to work for GNB, but JS and NPH work so well together that I want to see more of their shenanigans at work.

"I'm cuddly, bitch! Deal with it!"
Nice callback/continuity with Neruda.
And I want to thank the writers for putting Jason Segel and NPH in the tub together. They are adorable! (They're adorable together IRL as well - there was some talk show apperance where they got giddy and starting singing Les Miz).

If you love it and NPH so much, how about you watch the show more regularly, hmm? Is AH going to be off-screen for the rest of the season? Because that's going to get really jarring. Though I'm glad they're not writing in random pregnancies - esp. when the characters haven't gotten there yet.

They filmed the season finale in January to accommodate her maternity leave, so she'll be back for at least that one. ONTD had some photos (not very spoilery) of the finale, and she's there, albeit holding a lot of purses and standing behind a lot of counters.

How many episodes are left this season? I know the last few episodes that were filmed needed to be Lily-free because Alyson's due date was so close, but are they going to have to write Robin out at some point, too? Cobie was looking pretty big last night, though as far as I know she hasn't had her baby yet. The pics floating around of Alyson and "Sandy Rivers" with their baby are adorable.

Only 3 more episodes.
As someone who watched this show from the beginning, I'm really glad the network has nurtured it this long - it was on the bubble the first two seasons but it's the rare show that's actually gained viewers as it goes on.
Honestly, at this point? I would watch the cast read the phone book together. They have such chemistry together and seem like an actual group of friends in their late 20s rather than a sitcom conception of such. I still stand by my opinion that it doesn't belong on CBS and would be a much better fit with 30 Rock, but CBS it is.

I agree, I agree. However, it seems to get more viewers on CBS than any comedies on NBC, so who knows?
I love that the characters sit around and crack jokes and laugh at each other. The humor is so natural and I think a lot of that comes from the real-life friendships.

Greeeeenleeeee! </abc soap fan> Barney's explanation for the 3 day rule was genius. I want to quote the whole thing, but I won't. This livejournal has already done it - with pics. "Hey Jesus, what up?"
