I am all "la la la, I can't hear you" about Mr. Arnold dying. I was floored to find out that Winnie Cooper and Becky Slater were played by real-life sisters. As adults, there seems to be a little more of a resemblance. THEY WERE!?

I love this show, and it's time for it to come on syndication and/or DVD.
That said, Dan Lauria is on one of my favorite TV movies, "Terror in the Family," with Joanna Kerns and Hilary Swank. Awesome.

I'm the same age as Kevin Arnold and adored this show growing up. It was one of the few sitcoms in which there were no precocious smartass children or "family meetings" or other contrived shit. It was just straight up honest. I don't think I ever missed an episode.

I love this show, too! I was so happy when ION started to show it this month. They just played the first episodes again when Winnie's brother is killed in Vietnam. So sad. And the last episode of the series is so sad, too, when they say Kevin's Dad died.
I also love all the music! The soundtrack is great!

I have been watching this every night in reruns and I am sad to say that now that I am grown up, Kevin Arnold seems like a self-absorbed little shit. He's a jerk to all his friends.
Word about all Dan Lauria's scenes being sad. What about the one where his father visited and brought Kevin a puppy?

I'm surprised his friends stuck around. My favorite episodes will always be the math teacher episodes.

True, Kevin sometimes was a bit Dawson-like when it came to his friends, he wasn't the best friend ever. But he did have his moments that showed that he was a good kid.

As adults, there seems to be a little more of a resemblance. THEY WERE!? Yes, shocking, isn't it? Danica McKellar is about a year and a half older than her sister Crystal. Their parents need to write a book for Hollywood parents on how to make sure your child actor turns out well as an adult. The McKellars seem to have a little more brainpower happening than your average child star, so I don't know how much good it would have done the Lohans of the world. Alley Mills is on The Bold and the Beautiful now.

I think, or at least I hope, every kid has had a teacher like Mr. Collins (that was his name, right?). I loved the old Super-8 flashbacks, too.
