Thanks, Grumpy Girl. Hating on the Caruso just never gets old. Heh.
You hate Mimi, the IRS agent? Say it ain't so! I love her! She and Robert's wife were like my favorite female characters. It's going to be really odd hearing Robin Weigart speak lines not punctuated with profanity and bodily discharges. Do you watch Supernatural? My beloved Ellsworth is on that one.
Yeah, I figured DamiAn (whose name I've just been misspelling left and right, sorry Dude) was probably just trying to stay in character. I've watched a few more of the clips and it looks like they're going for quirky. Sort of a cuddlier Bobby Goren, maybe? That, along with the cutesy casting of his partner who looks to be all of 23-which would seem a mighty young age to have attained detective status- are rather dampening my enthusiasm. That's probably good, though. The last show I had high hopes for stinks.

I had high hopes for Drive because I LOVE Nathan Fillion and it sucked, so I'll try not to get my hopes up for this one. If they had Robin Weigart as his partner, then I'd like it right away. You couldn't miss with that, even if she wasn't yelling C*CKSUCKER every three minutes while belching loudly and scratching her arse.
I can't stand Mimi the IRS agent although she's a little less grating. She's totally UN-gov't IRS agent and UN-Washington. I guess she's the Hollyweird idea of what an IRS agent would be.
Also, if Damian's whole schtick is spouting philosophy and banging blonds, then it's gonna get old fast. If they can work it into something like Bones, where it's quirky but entertaining, then I'll stick with it.
