Just found The Real World True Hollywood Story on YouTube I’ll be a while... Edit ... That was fun I forgot I watched New York the 10th anniversary version that was the last one. A google of where are they now has lead me to find out that Rachel from San Francisco is l expecting her ninth kid! at 47!

I loved the first seasons of Real World! I think I made it till Key West and didn't finish that season. I always remember Pedro, of course, Tammy getting an abortion in LA, the slap of Seattle, London guy getting his tongue bitten off, and I think it was Chicago when 9/11 happened. It was the first time they allowed a cast to watch tv. I wish they'd show the old seasons again. I'd totally watch. And also the first seasons of Road Rules. I never missed that show either. I'm really surprised it's not on Netflix or hulu - I would totally rewatch the early seasons. They lost me in the Hawaii season, those people were not fun to watch.

it blew my mind seeing Jacinda at Harry and Meghan’s wedding she married to Harvey from Suits I believe! Whaaaaaaaaaaat! My mind is blown. Last I knew of her she was in one of the Bridget Jones movies, which was odd enough. I always thought it was cute that Judd and Pam from the San Francisco season ended up together. I hope I haven't jinxed it.

That was great! I'm gonna need about thirty more articles just like that (featuring other cast members, preferably). My all-time favorite line of his was, "Everyone thinks I'm gay! From coast to coast!" That entire episode was one of the most hilariously crafted storylines. David being oblivious at first and then realizing that not only that guy, but most of the house thought he was gay. Also, his dinner “date” with the guy and roommate Nathan where David acted like a wine- knowing, fine dining experiences person while Nathan sat there like a country bumpkin third wheel who’d never eaten anywhere fancier than McDonalds...hilarious. I have seasons 1-20 on taped-from-TV DVDs, along with many seasons of Road rules and the challenges from back in the day when they were still fun (challenge 2000, Battle of the seasons/sexes, etc). They’re fun to revisit every now and again, but sometimes the passage of time hits me hard. I watched the first season of the RW as a middle schooler and continued to watch through college and it blows my mind sometimes that all of that was so long ago now. What I would love to see as a new show is to bring back the casts from way back to rewatch their seasons and reflect. Like 1st season Julie watching herself as a 19 year old envisioning a future of moving to the big city and becoming a dancer (or season 2 Jon and his country singing dreams). I’m so interested to know how it would feel to be able to see your young self with your young dreams, knowing how things actually turned out.

Youtube has the first episode of the RW New York OG reunion up and it was delightful. Just so well done with the split screens of 1992 NY with 2021 NY and strategically placed photos and callbacks. It gave me a very Petals on the Wind/Cathy goes back to the attic vibe, if you know what I mean. And also made me feel about 100 years old since I remember watching these people on TV when I was in 7th grade.

I watched the first episode this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Heather's suitcase with all the booze had me cracking up!

Thank you for linking! I thought I was going to need to pay for yet another streaming service in order to see this. Based on the preview for the upcoming season, apparently it doesn't matter if you are a 50-something with a mortgage, kids, substantial middle-aged spread and abandoned dreams of being "an artist", when the time comes for you to stop being polite and start getting real, you will behave exactly like you did when you were 22.

When some of them said it had been about 30 years (since the original series), I gasped. THIRTY YEARS?! Wow. That made me feel old.
