I remember her Neighbours soap opera years before I should be so lucky, well I thought this pop star thing won’t last...


She’s has the Legend slot at Glastonbury this year her first appearance she would have played it in 2005 but her cancer diagnosis put a stop to that back then (as mentioned on Graham Norton last night)

I have a soft spot for Kylie and always will, she’s the Original I don’t acknowledge that other K associated one at all...

I will always have a soft spot for Kylie's very first album, which gave us "I Should Be So Lucky," "The Locomotion," "It's No Secret," "Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi," and "Turn In Into Love." It is in my opinion a perfectly fluffy pop confection, with its sparkly Stock Aitken Waterman beats and Kylie's charmingly shrill vocals. I love it!!

I've got a picture in my head of Chris Martin just wandering around Glastonbury with his guitar, lamenting the fact that his band mates aren't there and ambushing anyone who's about to get on stage. I can't help but like him though, he's so earnest.

As a Neighbours fan I’m very sad to know the soap will be gone for good this summer but I’m glad it’s getting a chance to finish so to speak, and why am I talking tv in music related thread because Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan return to Neighbours I’m ridiculously happy about this. No idea how it will be done or anything. Just seeing her / them back in the soap for a minute will be great.

That will be super nice to see; hope it’s handled nicely. I haven’t seen Neighbours in a long time (the current cast seemed so plasticky and same-ey whenever I did dip in), but damn back in its hey-day; Peter as Shane, Guy Pearce as Mike, and I was a mega mega shipper of Scott and Charlene. Honestly as far as I remember it had certain moments during the above characters scenes that were touching and impactful enough to rival any movie or serious show (and 2 decades later although that level wasn’t there then, I remember thinking the same about the Steph Flick confrontation scenes). There was also a tinkly piano instrumental that would play during Scott and Charlene sad scenes, which I loved and have never been able to download.
