I didn't see a thread for this one yet. Did anyone else watch this last night? It is on AMC and has received great reviews. It is set in a NYC ad agency in 1960.
I watched and really enjoyed it. The look of the show is amazing.
Any thoughts?

I totally forgot it was on last night. I wanted to see it! Is AMC replaying it over the week?

Thanks! I can watch it tonight! I saw some of the "Making Of" and thought it was really interesting.

It was so gorgeous to look at. And that guy who played Don was smokin' hot. And besides the tasty visuals, it was very compelling and as my husband pointed out--it was a joy to watch a show that isn't about cops, lawyers, or doctors.

I liked it too and I second the notion that Don is smokin' hot.

I really enjoyed it. It is very interesting to see the women in the working world in 1960.

I'm loving it - the pretty colors, the dissolute characters, the dark-side-of-McMahon-and-Tate feeling...
The sexual harrassment in the workplace that was apparently par for the course back then is just maddening. I know it would probably be unrealistic for Peggy to stand up for herself, but I hope the character does something redeeming after sleeping with Campbell.

I tuned in to Mad Men because of Christina Hendricks, who was so fun and sassy in Firefly as Saffron, and all I gotta say is I hope they give her character more to do in the future than strolling around the office in tight dresses.
But otherwise, I liked the show too! I loved its style, and its utter un-PCness in portraying in 1960, none of that "good ol' days" veneer.
And OMG, can I just thank God for the fortune of coming of age in the post-integration, post-sex revolution, post-feminist movement era!

No kidding on the women treatment parts--I was in awe of how awful that doctor was to the girl getting the pill from him. What an ASSSSSSSS.
