I just realized that I've wasted the last forty-five minutes on stupid Rock of Love instead of watching Ocean of Fear. I'm such an idiot! Ocean of Fear was terrible. Did they just take the CBS movie from a few years ago and get Dreyfus and the survivors to narrate? Air Jaws was on and that made my night.

This is always the greatest week of my son's life, which makes me happy because it's a week of peace. Thank you shark week!

I live for Shark Week. I have come down with mono and spent the whole day in bed watching yesterday even though I have seen some of those episodes a billion times. Still loved all of it. I am a shark fanatic, have been my whole life and I get so jealous whenever I see someone free diving with the Great Whites. That has been my fantasy since I was a little kid and I hope to do it myself one day before I die. At the very least I must go down in a cage.

As fascinated as I am with sharks, I have a hard time watching the shows where they have stories about sharks getting killed and they show dead, mutilated sharks over and over...it's just too disturbing for me.
Mr. John-boy's Mole is insane for shark week. Last night, I went to bed and he came in to wake me up to make me see a huge shark jumping out of the water because he thought it was so "remarkable". I love my nerd.

It was nice to see the women who lost her leg to the Great White during the cruise. I have seen the video a few times and wondered if she survived.

I love Shark Week! I'm TiFauxing all of the episodes I can. I hope that it changes the perceptions of sharks from indiscriminate killers, oh--and I'm scared of Bull Sharks.
Ocean of Fear was horrible, it really was a cheesy movie. I'd much rather see a documentary on the attack--discussing with survivors, etc (which they sort of had at the begining) then, badly acted tripe.

You know, I've been half-watching a marathon of episodes all day and I dunno if it's being on here or lack of sleep -- but the way it seems like the way Discovery wants to whiplash between they're vicious threats! who will destroy you! versus they're merely misunderstood! don't hate! makes me feel like sharks are totally the beleaguered celebs of the oceans. Who's their publicist(s)?

It's gotta be an easier gig than repping Tom Cruise ...

Yeah, Chompy & Friends probably don't insist on lifts for their fins before going in front of the camera.
