Ok, first episode just aired. What did you think?
Personally, it was a waste of space. Not sure how much more I'll be watching.

It makes Painkiller Jane look like Casablanca. It's that dull, that vapid, that poorly-acted.

I thought it was like the slow, red-headed step-child to Smallville.
I kept expecting Flash's sidekick girl to get knocked unconscious over and over a' la Lana Lang.

Missed it. Much like the ill-fated Highlander cartoon, it feels so far removed from its source material (which, I declare includes any and all music composed by Queen -- okay, no, Queen wasn't part of the original soundtrack to the original FG serials, but DAMMIT, it's QUEEN!!!*) that I have no interest in trying to make time for it, even though I do want to see it. *And since they actually used a snippet of the song in the commercials, it's fair game. |

The pilot reran today. I caught the last half and watched it because muffinboy had it on. I thought it was just another one of those really bad SciFi movies he watches on the weekends, like that movie about the giant gator that munches on girls in bikinis and is finally killed by a big fake volcano. But when it was over, and I found out what it was, oh man. What have they done to you, Flash Gordon? Waaaaah!

Wow, that was bad. We recorded it and watched it tonight, thinking that at some point it might get better. Never happened. Just kept sucking harder. I won't be watching that again. Heck, I thought that Painkiller Jane was bad but I'll have to reassess based on this mess.

This was bad. What did they do to Ming? At TWoP someone took to calling him Derek the slightly miffed middle school principal instead of Ming the Merciless.
