I've read some great articles on the misogyny of Gossip Girl. Surprising it lasted this long without complaints from women groups as to its treatment of women. Maybe that was due to its airing on a low-rated network. The poor treatment is discussed a lot on TWOP, too. Like I said above, I didn't watch the show for its entire duration, but it seems the show was pretty appalling based on TWOP's description of some of the plots. |

Were you guys honestly looking for quality in a teen soap? The show was actually good in Season 1 before it descended into absurdity and all-around mediocrity. |

boxofrocks, I never watched it. The premise of rich kids behaving badly held zero appeal to me, but the articles about its awfulness are my guilty pleasure.
