I love him...I think he's such a good actor.

He can be a really great actor. But his best performances were given a long time ago in Basketball Diaries and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. He was brilliant in those two films.

I don't think he's given any really bad performances. And I thought he was very deserving of his Aviator nomination. His performance in other films have been good, but nothing has reached his amazing turn in What's Eating Gilbert Grape in my opinion. He was just incredible in that role.
