Welp, the reveal/new ep didn't put me to sleep. That's about all I can say about it.
Except that I'm glad they went with the Philli warrant officer guy as the new ghosthunter. He was the best match for TAPS in terms of applicable skills and personality. Mostly personality. Obvious Dominant Introvert Concrete Thinker (like Jay and Grant). He should fit in well with them.

Heh. That's why I think they picked him, too. I think the girl was actually the best "ghost hunter", but meh. I did find it strange (and a bit funny) that Grant said "Good Bye, gentlemen" when they left. Uh, hello? There is a lady present, my love!
The reveal summed up the entire live show. AWESOME! I didn't have to sit and rewind my TIVO to see what the highlights were. But that ball moving thing was a bit freaky.
As for the house with the suicide man: I've often had 50/50 doubts about the thermal cam, too. However, Jason and Grant are first to debunk if it's their own reflection, the cameraman's, etc. This particular time, however, they were pointing it at the closet that was open. There is no reflection off of clothes. It was clear that they were in that path, as a photo she had above the closet was obvious on the cam, and just the entire thing freaked me out. As did the little girl that said the "big man with a boo-boo on his head, likes to show me his brains." Uh. Yeah, nothing to be scared of.
Get a blessing on that house, STAT!

Yeah, he was pretty good at that last night. He was all, "Yeah, they're total crap, but Heather believes in them so that's what matters...but they're total crap." and then again with the wrestler guy he said, "In all fairness, I would be afraid to enter the ring with the guys he goes up against, so I give him credit for coming out with us and doing something new/scary" when in reality they were all "This is funny as hell! Let's show you the footage again! That crap will never get old! Look how he pushes the woman out of the way while he goes screaming and running down the hall!"
As for the thermal cam, I don't know. The shadow looked Jason-shaped to me, but since it wasn't near the mirror, I don't know where the reflection could be coming from (if it is a reflection).
The EVPs are always creepy.

I actually laughed out loud at this. Grant is replacing Mike Rowe as my guilty tv crush.
The ball in the Sanatorium bothers me. I am sure that they checked the floor to see if it was level, but darn it, I wish they had said it. Because that's all I can think about when I see that ball.... is, dude, the floor! Not level!
Amazing how what turned out to be a pretty interesting 30 minutes was 6 hours of snooze in real time.

Yeah, you really got to give Jason credit how he manages dismiss the rods but remain nice about it. Though I'm relieved to hear that he thinks they are crap.
As for the wrestler screaming footage, come on it's obvious that Jason found that hysterical! He put it on his My Space he found it so funny! You know, he gathered his kids around and was like, "Hey kids check this out! Hahahaha! Let's watch that again!" I imagine when the cameras weren't rolling the whole team got a good laugh out of it. Frankly, for me, that guy screaming and running away will never not be funny. But yeah it's nice that Jason attempted to defend him. I do think Grant is correct that if anyone else in that position would run screaming. I know I would. But I'm not in an area looking for ghosts either.

So, I skipped the previews for next week—does it look...not totally horrible?

This is from back in October, but I just ran across this article about Jason and Grant when they went to speak at the University of New hampshire, and I thought it had some interesting/amusing stuff: Does anyone know if this one was on TV? That actually sounds kinda interesting. And this is why the clients are sometimes scarier than the ghosts: Man. Poor Jason. But now that they are on TV, I'll bet they run into all sorts of crazies.

Ooooh! That sounds freaky! I've never seen that on TV to my knowledge. I'd have to check with Mama Spin who is a crazy, every second of the day-repeat watcher. Heh.
And poor Jason, indeed! That's freaking bizarre!

Oh my God. People are nuts. I know Jason also had a crazy stalker, too.
I want to see the eeeevil gate episode. Scary!

Nope, that won't be shown on TV. Yes, you get crazies in the paranormal field, but being on TV really amps it up.
