I know this isn't actually the right thread, but I wanted to link a couple songs that fall into the category of " miserably failed attempts to sex you up." I hesitated between this thread and "songs that make you want to rip your ears off," but the content of this "artist's" songs made me put them here. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a pop star's pathetic attempt to be a sex symbol: but has anyone heard of Gunther? Gunther - he's real big in Sweden I guess. Remember that name if you want a good laugh. First there's the song that made him famous, an ode to his penis called Ding Ding Dong. Then Gunther decided what the world was lacking was a new version of Samantha Fox's cheese-tastic Touch Me. I just know, based on his apparent age, that Samantha Fox must've probably been Gunther's first wank fantasy as a kid, and I bet her coming out as a lesbian only added fuel to the fire in his loins. His attempts to "sex you up" have to be seen and heard to be believed. I kept waiting for the moment when the video turned out to be an SNL skit. He's even inspired someone to write an entire webpage snarking on him. This guy is so cheesy I wouldn't bat an eye if it turned out he was really Sacha Baron Cohen in disguise!

NDSP, I KNOW you ain't baggin' on Gunther! I used to blast him from my summer dorm room, just to entertain my fellow dorm-mates. In fact, one still writes to me that I touch her tra la la, her ding ding dong....

"Sadeness, Part I" by Enigma. Goddamn! Makes you want to jump the priest's bones right there in the confessional booth.

Granted, knowing one of the band's members has a legendary, well, member, contributes to the sexing but almost anything by Franz Ferdinand. "Ulysses" and "Tonight" from the new album make me feel all funny and I want "Michael" to be an ode to a boy I haven't yet met. And, of course, "Matinee."
Crickey, even their cover of Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For?" is sexy! [They break into "White Wedding" at the end.]
.
Sade always sexes me up, so this is the best typo EVAH, Atreides.
That album was one of like three cassettes my family always took on road trips and I remember being in the back seat and thinking "hmm, I'm not really sure what these feelings I'm having are yet, but I'm pretty sure i should be feeling them elsewhere since having my parents here is a total buzzkill."

That's not a typo huntergrayson, that's how the song title is actually spelled.

Really? You learn something new everyday.
I thought it was "sadness"" obviously.
Maybe Sade is why they decided to go with that!
