That Alicia Keys song about NYC. Alright, we get it. New York is the bestest city EVAR!!! And you're only the 2000th musician to tell me that. And FWIW, I have been there numerous times and the vibe of the place made my skin crawl and I could not get out of there fast enough. So yes, Alicia, it inspired me. To take a shower when I got home.

Then you must have hated the Sex and the City 2 movie promos.

One song right now definitely makes me want to rip my ears off is Train's "Hey Soul Sister". I loved it in the beginning but after hearing it for the millionth time... gah! The "hey-ey. Hey-hey-hey-hey-hey" intro is especially cringe-inducing.

I really despise "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry, especially that God-awful chorus.
You! Make! Me! Feel! Like! I'm Living! A! Teen! Age! Dream!
She's not too subtle, is she. And her songs sound alike.
I'm also hating on "Airplanes." Jamming idiotic cliches into a song always turns into crap - no exceptions.

At my kickboxing class last week they played Justin Bieber's "Baby, Baby" . As I don't listen to pop radio, or watch MTV/VH1 I hadn't heard it...
Yeah, it made me punchy, and kicky, and stabby.

I don't understand why Katy Perry's voice is so high and breathy on Teenage Dream. It's so annoying and affected.

I don't understand why Katy Perry's voice is so high and breathy on Teenage Dream. It's so annoying and affected. I don't understand why when she sings, she sounds like she's straining on the toilet. Sorry for the icky imagery, but that is exactly what I think of every time I hear her: singing through constipation.

That new Enrique Iglesias song, "I Like It," is a truly terrible song. I have not yet encountered a single person that has disagreed any of the many times I've said, "This song sucks. A lot." And it still gets stuck in my head, much like BEP's "Boom Boom Pow" did.
