I figured if anyone knows this song, it'll be the Greecies. Latin beat with trumpets, smooth older guy singing. Lyrics- something about "en la soledad", yada yada, "mucho mucho mucho". The only other word I caught was "solamente". (We don't speak much Spanish in Australia, OK?)

Okay - I've been trying to figure out who sings this version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that I just adore.
It's a male voice, it's been used in a movie recently and it's got a sort of happy, upbeat but not fast take on the song. Kind of relaxed happy. I think it's also been used in a TV commercial. I know - not really much to go on...
Yes! LarisaThat's it - thank you - buying CD off Amazon right now!

If it's the one I'm thinking of the artist is the late Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. It really is a beautiful version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Oh, good, Larisa! Because the only male version I could think of was the one Beavis and ButtHead made fun of. Sam something? It was very scary.

There is a commercial for the game "gears of war" running on TV right now. Anybody know the name of the song running throughout the ad???
Thanks.

Mad World, originally found on the Donnie Darko movie soundtrack. It's used in a lot of other things, so it's one of those really familiar songs that you can't quite pin down.

Can someone please help me? I saw the movie "The Holiday" last night, and midway through there is a song that I could swear was Imogen Heap, and I want to say it has the lyrics "go, just go" (I know, quite descriptive), but I have been downloading her stuff all day and haven't found it yet! I think the song was also used in Grey's Anatomy. If anyone has seen the movie and can help, I would greatly appreciate it...I went to Amazon to see if there was maybe a soundtrack listing, but it looks like they are not releasing a soundtrack as of yet. Weird.
ETA: Yes, it was Let Go. Thank you!

faithwilkins, are you thinking of "Let Go" by Imogen Heap/Frou Frou? I'm just guessing; haven't seen the movie yet.

Let Go by Frou Frou was used in the movie (I saw it yesterday) so I think that's what you're looking for. Zach Braff used it in Garden State and ever since it's been all over the place.
