Not so much, "what is this song?" as "what is this album?" Any recommendations for a compilation CD of Disco songs from the Original Artists, and not the very bad versions I found at Amazon? Something Work Appropriate and Mainstream. Thank you! Rhino pretty reliably made good compilations, like this one: Disco Box.

Not so much "What is this song?" as "I asked someone in the grocery store What Is This Song?" - A bratty, noisy college student lived underneath me for a year (I've been here for yeeeaarrs) beginning summer of 2016. Over and over and over she would play this song LOUD - "dooo ooo ooo ooo oooo!", it drove me nuts and her loud music led to her being evicted. About a month after she had gone, I heard it playing in the grocery store, my stomach did flipflops from the memory of loud music under me. I asked the young guy next to me if he knew the name of the song; "It's Rihanna, This is What You Came For". I laughed all the way home.

Ok so technically this is a Calvin Harris song that features Rihanna. Just FYI so you can spread the blame.

Mine is Ukrainian or Russian, old folk.
“Ni nada, ni nada, ni nada, ni nada, ni nada, pyaht nyea.”
Meaning (roughly) (I) don’t need, don’t need, don’t need, don’t need, five no’s.
I think it about a girl being coy when a boy is hitting on her.
It’s the same thing as chonies, it’s my current ear worm.
I heard it in Kiev, and it’s very catchy.

I heard a bit of song the other day and I would like to hear the whole thing. The singer is female, and she sang "isn't that something?" several times, and I think she also sang about a beautiful day. I'm less sure of this, I recall at the time thinking the second lyric was a Lou Reed or Velvet Underground song title or lyric, but it is also a just a very common phrase. Anyone have any guess what this song is? Thanks!

Hi, Fitz! Thanks for this. Not what I was looking for, but I will keep listening to it. I bet I could end up with a whole playlist based on my search! Thanks again!
