The trailer for the upcoming movie Savages seems to be playing everywhere on TV, and it has a Gangsta Rap song that I actually like. Who sings it, and what's it called?
Thank you!

I don't know if I've seen the same commercial, but here's a link to the soundtrack. Some are easy enough to eliminate right away, like Bob Dylan.

It's Til I Collapse by Eminem and Nate Dogg. I had to find out myself after seeing that TV commercial since I liked it a lot, too

Okay, this is a shot in the dark- I heard this on a public radio music hour while driving home. I couldn't write down the lyrics because of said driving but here goes: It is a woman singing, and I honestly could not tell if it was an old, old song or just made to sound like one. She is singing about her bad reputation (no, nothing like the Joan Jett one) and she orders two drinks, one for her and one for her bad reputation. Basically, she is always getting in trouble, getting in fights and what not. It is A GREAT song, and I can hear parts of it, but after many searches, cannot find it. It is driving me crazy! I will owe anyone that can help me, BIG! I have tried Google, Youtube, lyric engines...does it sound at all familiar? To anyone? Bueller?

Was it on NPR, or Pacifica, or another station/program? I'm intrigued.

okay, it was actually July 1st, and I think it was Capital Public Radio (Sacramento); definitely not my local UNR (Reno) NPR station. It was such an awesome, rollicking song, like rowdy 40s style but I am almost positive it is a modern song, because next they played some awesome Cracker. Really, I loved the whole program, but that song stuck out! I listened to it all through the mountains coming back to Nevada. It was awesome and I have to keep an ear out for local programs similar. *off to search the Northeast Cali NPR music programs* thanks for the tips, Chonies and Pearly!

Don't know the above one either, but color me intrigued too. This one I'm trying to remember is definitely by Eric Clapton, but I can't remember the name of it. It's 70ish, is acoustic guitar over electric, and has a female singer with him, though not a co-lead singer. It has the phrase "I got a woman" and "I don't love you, and you don't love me". And the chorus goes, well, "la LAAA la la la, la la". It was one of his hit songs, but not a big one like "Layla" or "Tears in Heaven". Any guesses? Thank you!!! Edited to say: Thank you PearlySweetcake I heard it last night on the radio, doing a "from the Vault" of forgotten songs, and probably haven't heard this since the 80's. One of his best! Promises

It's called "Promises", and it's from his Backless album. The female back-up singer is Marcy Levy.
