Much better than my obvious suggestion Casino Bride. I should move mine to "Misheard Lyrics" thread.

Calling all 80s music fans! I only remember 2 lines, but they go something like this: "All my dreams came true last night, all my hopes and fears." That's all I got. I can hear the music, but of course I can't type that. Well, I could, but it would be pretty meaningless: dun dun dundun dahdah dah, dun dun dun dun du-un. And then: dun duh-nuh, duh nuh uh. Yeah, see, that doesn't help. No other lyrics are coming to mind. What the hell is it, and who is it by?

Hey, Sleepy. That is ABC's "Be Near Me"
I had a huge crush on Martin Fry back in the day.

Help! There is this great song used in a Motorola Razor phone commercial. It's a guy singing (kinda punk rockishly) "Isn't she pretty in pink?" I told my Mom it could be Iggy Pop (that's who came to mind) she wants to kill me because I keep singing it. I love it and it sounds like it could be a real song. *sob* I need it.

I haven't seen the commercial, but that song is by The Psychedelic Furs. Unless of course, it's something totally different in the commercial.

I told my Mom it could be Iggy Pop (that's who came to mind) she wants to kill me because I keep singing it. I love it and it sounds like it could be a real song. *sob* I need it. It was a real song. It was a real good song, too. (As Sleepy noted, it's "Pretty in Pink", by the Psychedelic Furs.) Now it's been co-opted into a marketing ploy, and that makes me sad and angry (sangry?). It also makes me sangry that anyone's first introduction to it is by way of a crappy cell phone commercial. Furthermore, it makes me feel old, which is the worst of all. Why must 30-something junior marketing execs taint my childhood? (It was also, unsurprisingly, part of the soundtrack to the 1986 movie of the same name, so you could track it down there. And rent the movie, while you're at it; it rules.) Now please excuse me while I take a time-out to adjust the shawl on my lap, reinsert my dentures and wave my cane at some teenagers, dagnabbit. *sigh*
