Not actually Broadway, but...did anyone here know that there's a Korean version of Billy Elliot? Yeah, I have no idea how they managed to pull that one off - just seems like there's so much about Billy Elliot that hinges upon the language and accents, plus ballet isn't all that popular in Korea among boys so I imagine the talent search would be even more hellacious than it is for the English-speaking productions. But apparently it's been a huge success: here's a clip of the four Billys performing 'Electricity' at the Korean Musical Awards.

Has anyone seen The Book of Mormon yet? My sister and I are thinking of going and taking her adolescent daughters. I'm just concerned about how much raunch and bad language there is, given it's from the South Park guys.

I'm just concerned about how much raunch and bad language there is, given it's from the South Park guys. I've had a bunch of friends see it and they have all raved about how terrific it was. Here's a TimeOut review that highlights some of the uh, "colorful" language.

I saw it, loved it. I would have no trouble taking my teens to see it, but I'm pretty liberal minded.

My sister decided we should go for it, so I hope we all enjoy it and don't have too much explaining to do to the kids. We'll be seeing both The Book of Mormon and How To Succeed in Business. Can't wait!

NPR is streaming the entire Book of Mormon cast recording for free. Although, if you're planning on seeing it ever, I'd recommend not listening and spoiling the jokes. Listening to it again, the theater geek in me loves hearing all the homages to different musicals they work in. I was laughing too hard when I saw it to catch all of them!

Oh my goodness, thank you for that rec, neeley! I probably won't see the show even if it comes to TX so I'm glad to be able to hear the songs.
Hasa Diga Eebowai has me cracking up laughing right now.
