Her comments about other actresses come across much better in person than on paper. I saw her on Parkinson and she was saying the usual stuff about movie stardom people diss her for, but it came across as much more humourous and tongue-in-cheek, and she seemed very sharp and likeable.

She's of course very overrated as an actress, but as a movie star (a completely different thing) she was great, if currently over-valued. I loved her in The Big Sleep (though that film is sooo overrated and would be panned if made today. It's incomprehensible).

Maybe that's why she lost the supporting actress Oscar to Juliette Binoche that year - she's a big beeyotch, y'all.

She's known for being a beeyotch behind the scenes, so that's probably true. And every third sentence she ever utters is about Bogey. I understand she loved the guy and misses him so maybe he's on her mind a lot, but I get the feeling she just brings him up all the time to remind everybody of her One Big Achievement.
