I haven't been a fan of hers in pretty much forever, but I'm enjoying the hell out of these latest quotes. Because, this is the same chick who said that older men going through a midlife crisis can benefit from a "young, fertile, fruitfull" woman's attention. But she's one of those young women who forgot that aging happens to us all, and the hot young thing can and always will be replaced by other hot young things once they approach their thirties. Jennifer Lawrence occupies the spot that ten-ish years ago belonged to Scarlett. And even she has people like Sophie Turner nipping at her heels.
Long term success depends on looks AND talent, and *really* long term success depends on looks, talent, intelligence, and spark. Scarlett has 1/4.

I like Scarlett; always have. I have a thing for women with deep, sultry voices, and I think her look is interesting. Her movie choices have been iffy but Lucy looks good, she was awesome in The Winter Soldier, and I'll admit it, I really liked The Island. She's not in the news unless she has a project, and I hope she has some longevity.

I liked the Paris vs. New York quote, actually. I would've imagined that ScarJo's demographic/social circles are very appearance-oriented in both cities, so it's interesting to hear that, in her experience, Paris fashion is way more uncompromising, to the point where she herself just can't keep up.
But observing the differences in regional standards of dress has interested me for a while, especially since my Japan years.

Scarlett has always been a little too impressed with her intellect. I want to like her, but most of the time, she makes makes my eyes roll.
To be fair, she's got a lot of company in that regard.

Her new movie looks so stupid. I mean, I'll probably go see it, but using our brain's full potential turns you into a time-travelling shape-shifter?

The premise is deeply flawed (we don't only use 10% of our brains, I really wish that fallacy would die out already) but it has the Morgan Freeman factor going for it too, so I'll be seeing it. It also looks like it'll have some nice special effects.
