How about Ireland's GAA stuff.
Hurling you beuatiful tense passionate heart stopping game you! And I didn't even really have a team in this years final but by God those last 10minutes rollercoaster were incredible. Brilliant from Limerick 45years since they last won, commiserations to Galway what a fight back just a single point in the end. I meann2 points in the end I couldn't watch the last few seconds!

I was following on Twitter, and it was so tense--fitz, hand to Blaa, as long as I can afford, I will never not buy the GAAGO access again. I may invite people over next year, but they might start talking, and what if they start asking questions while the game is in play? I might have to buy a whole season's access--I wonder if I could TG4, too.
For uninitiated , the Gaelic Athletic Association supports and promotes Irish sports in Ireland and abroad, including multiple teams in the US. I could go on, but I'd sound a bit overly enthusiastic. Relevant details include: all the athletes and coaches are amateur/volunteer, and the GAA was founded in the 1870s and they have an interesting history. If you're going to Dublin, I cannot recommend a trip to Croke Park highly enough--the Etihad skyline tour was phenomenal, but so was all the history stuff. And they have a lovely tea room.
Anyway, LIMERICK!

My son is a huge baseball/softball fan, I have no idea how that happened but I ain't mad about it. He goes to all his university baseball & softball games, his good friend Adam is currently doing color commentary for today's softball game and killing it! (Come to think of it, the fact that all his friends are also into baseball/softball probably has something to do with it. Maybe Gen Z is bringing back baseball.) |
