I coach my sons machine pitch 8 little league team and at last Saturday's game he got two back to back solid - to the fence home runs. Just wanted to brag on him a bit

Last night my second-grader's team actually started CATCHING THE BALL!
A kid on the other team hit a soft pop fly to the pitcher's mound, and our "pitcher" (it's a coach-pitch league) stuck his glove out and CAUGHT IT! Oh, the cheering!
Then, a couple of innings later, divaspawn2 got in front of a line drive down the third base line, CAUGHT IT, and beat the second base runner to third! And there was much rejoicing!
Ds2 was so excited--I love how enthusiastic he is about baseball. Isn't it fun to watch them get fired up about something they love?

I think little league games are the best. It's so much fun to watch how excited they get when they do something right. I have a child on my team that has never played before and it is so funny when he hits the ball, because he will just stand there all slack jawed like he can't believe it and we're all yelling RUN RUN RUN!!! I really love coaching, all my kiddos call me Coach Mom - LOL.

My son plays little league. He played teeball for two years and then this past fall he played fall league machine pitch. He has tryouts and draft for spring machine pitch in three weeks. He is so nervous! It's cute. He's just seven years old but he is so serious about it all. I can't wait-I love baseball season!
