Apparently, it's an ongoing thing with her. At least she knows she sounds foolish. Fake Accent

I've had that happen to me when I'm around those with English or Irish accents. I subconsciously pick up on it and start to slightly sound that way. I usually catch myself, though and put a stop to it.
Does this woman have no self control? Get it together, sistah!

I usually catch myself, though and put a stop to it. This happens to me as well, I was in North Carolina for a whole month and after a week there I started talking with a slight accent. I caught myself though and realized I sounded like a jackass.

Thanks for finding her old thread.
I thought she was better in Girl, Interrupted than Angie Jo, who was practically playing herself.
She was Ashton's last girlfriend before Demi. I will never forget the joke she told on Letterman after Ashton and Demi went public with their relationship. She said, "For him, age doesn't matter. For her, size doesn't matter." RIP Brittany.

I heard an Eminem song on the radio yesterday, and thought about 8 Mile for the first time in eons. Man.
She was the real scene-stealer in Girl, Interrupted, for me. She created a complex and disturbing character who floored me in every scene she appeared. I found her a performance (and that of Kerry W) a little much, a little too "actorly" in The Dead Girl compared to every one else who performed in a naturalistic and non-fussy style, but she was believably passionate in her love for her daughter.

The ProBoards search function is pretty damn pathetic -- anytime you want to find a thread for someone who you're pretty sure has one, be prepared to do a manual search of the celebrity threads. We just saw her a few weeks back in what we and our bad-movie-watching buddies decided may have been the worst film (I use the term loosely) we've ever seen in our long history of watching shitty movies -- Megafault. She spends the entire movie talking out of her Joan Crawford–looking maw like she's in some kind of pain or not a native English speaker. I wanted to cry on behalf of her co-star, Eriq LaSalle.

Loved her in Clueless, then never saw her in much else except for 8 Mile, where all I can remember of her is that awful dancing she was doing in some club. Still, at one point she struck me as very cute and talented. And if it's true she died, it is very very sad. RIP.
