She said a portion will go to charity, she didn't specify how large that portion would be, or which "charity" that would be. I'm thinking the Human Fund.

Yes! Thank you. I couldn't remember his name for anything earlier.

Artie's good, but I'm not sure he's insurable. I think Jack Black would be excellent. Or Oliver Platt. Yeah, I mentioned him way back. Dead ringer (no pun intended).

Wow. Is the matter with the house and Brittany's assets still in litigation? Or does Monjack's mother just get to keep it?

And so unnecessary. I came away feeling sad that Brittany apparently felt Simon Monjack was the best she could do. Even taking into account that the article slanted more toward her favor*, he came across as a real piece of work. If the stuff about Monjack faking some of his ailments is true, that is so damn messed up. I wonder if he saw how Brittany dropped everything to help her mom through breast cancer and knew she could be manipulated that way. * And I'm not saying it was necessarily wrong to do so, although I did side-eye the assertion that BM never did any illegal drugs because of her heart murmur. Maybe it's true, but I'm pretty skeptical.

Rick James had cocaine in his system when he died - something that as a diabetic and someone recovering from a stroke (and other ailments) he had no business ingesting.

And that reminds me, I had to applaud that one doctor in the story who washed his hands of them because he knew they were doctor-shopping. Which really, it's sad that a basic demonstration of medical ethics deserves applause, but it stood out.
