Hi, I'm divasahm, I'm a second-generation Texas Longhorn, and I bleed burnt orange. Hook 'em. I'm hoping for a Texas Tech victory against Texas A&M this weekend, and for the Horns to win out so we can still have a shot at the Big 12 South title.

My name is Sunnyhorse, and I'm pleased to note that for the first time since BEFORE I was in college, back in the '80s, the University of Missouri has a kick-ass football team. I'm not a Mizzou football fan, but this is fun! Maybe we'll butt heads at Big 12 Championships time, Divasahm. ;D

Maybe this thread should just be "college sports" so we're good through basketball season?

I'm a Northwestern alum, so I don't have much to cheer for usually. However, I grew up cheering against Michigan and living in Ohio for a few years has made me very annoyed at Ohio State. Personally, I wish college football and basketball was more like baseball or hockey. If you want to attempt to get an education, you can get a scholarship and go to college. If you don't, go to the minors (arena, Canadian leagues, Europe, whatever). I don't think the current system is fair to the athletes, the students, or the schools, just the athletic programs.

My name is wsudawls, and I root for Washington State in the Pac-10. we have had a few great years here and there, This one might not be so great.

I used to be obsessed with college football, but I've calmed down a lot. My sister is still crazy though.

Sorry indygirl. And I'll be very sorry to see OSU ranked #1. They're still playing bullshit teams to pad their record; they simply don't deserve the ranking.

I'm rooting for South Florida, if for no other reason than it is good to have fresh blood, and it proves that when the playing field is level, any team can succeed.
