Such a loony. I don't remember the exact quote, but a few weeks back The Economist ran a special issue concerning Tibet, where they retold an anecdote about Sharon Stone introducing the Dali Lama by saying something like, "I bet he's thinking 'I want to go back to China!'" That's not the exact quote, what she said was much more ignorant, but the general idea is it seemed she had no idea about Tibet's campaign for independence.

In Rupert Everett's autobiography, he also refers to Sharon as completely batshit crazy. There's a hilarious story in the book when he first met her when they made a movie a few years ago.

She got dropped by Dior. She's not only heartless but stupid. Did she really think her comments would go over well? Edit: In rereading, I see that they only stopped her ads in China. They should get rid of her, period. |
