She left her son in a car while she had dinner? WTF? He was with the driver and a billion paparazzi surrounding the car so he was fine. Er, yeah. ETA: I just googled it and it was not Nobu but The Ivy but apparently the story wasn't actually true - she won a libel case over it.

Yossarian, thanks for that. Regardless, she does seem a bit odd, to say the least.

You can get very specific about what you want (blond to match mommy!) when you pay big bucks. Surely then Sharon's kids should have brown hair?

She has seemed unstable to me for year. I'm glad someone else is taking care of one of her kids and not her.

I don't know why, but I always thought that all three boys were full siblings, and it was kind of a ha ha ha thing that she got to adopt Roan's siblings and her ex didn't. I could have sworn I read that somewhere...
There really does have to be more to it than that, or Roan would spend summers and holidays with Sharon, there wouldn't be the PERMANENT PHYSICAL CUSTODY thing going on.
She's utterly mad, but fascinating.

I don't think that Sharon's kids are Russian, since the first two, at least, were born in Texas. Here's an article written before her second adoption: "Sharon only knows the child will be born in Texas. She feels this is the least complicated way to adopt." I think Sharon's first son was adopted through an agency, but I'm not sure how the second and third adoptions were arranged. Certainly, fame and wealth might expedite the adoption process, but I wouldn't be surprised if what actually happened was more of a surrogacy arrangement. Even with financial pull, it seems unlikely that Stone could adopt two children of specific gender and relatively unusual coloring, born in the same state,* in extremely rapid succession, using totally ethical methods. ( Ernestine's suggestion that the boys are biological siblings is an interesting possibility.) Plus, Stone seems so arrogant and self-involved that I truly wonder if she'd adopt a baby knowing nothing of his parentage. She comes across as the kind of person who would want to control as many variables as possible. *ETA: Texas adoption law allows birth mothers only 24 hours to reconsider relinquishing a child, which could explain why Stone adopted children born there.

I remember the 6 months with each parent arrangement - sounded like the WORST idea ever. Honestly, if it were my kid, I would move to SF. Where did they live when they were married? Sharon isn't exactly a hot movie commodity anymore, she can make the move for the sake of her child.

WTF? Wow. She's definitely bordering on Mommie Dearest antics. I hope they keep Roan far away from her. Poor kid.

Her behavior towards that child is bizarre. He should be taken away after reading that article.
