It seems that since the Queen Mother died the family has gone downhill.

They weren't exactly going uphill when she was alive. But you have a point. The queen lost her mother and sister within a short time and maybe she just doesn't have the strength to put her foot down anymore.
I remember when Princess Margaret wanted to marry that divorced guy that she truly loved. The queen said absolutely not. Times have changed.

I don't think they'll be ribbon cutters. They'll have to earn their way in the world like Anne's children do. I hope so. I'm a little stunned that the Queen's first cousins are being expected to cut ribbons. The British royal family is totally bloated. There is talk about "pruning" TRF a bit in this next generation. That's one reason why Edward and Sophie's kids aren't using the Prince/Princess titles. I wouldn’t be surprised if they change the Letter Patent of 1917 to further restrict the Princely titles to the offspring of the Sovereign and the eldest son of the heir to the throne.

There's nothing wrong with having a large royal family is they aren't disgracing themselves and the nation. Beatrice and Eugenie are not bothering to maintain anything resembling a standard of decency and I would understand if they were stripped of their titles.
If the royals behaved with dignity and didn't make fools of themselves on a regular basis, I would say it's wrong to take away their titles in the interest of pruning the family. I wonder if in the future the new rules could be if the royals are behaving and doing duties, their titles stay. However, if they behave disgracefully, then their titles are yanked.
It's harsh, but these girls have had every privilege and they aren't even behaving decently. I'm not asking for perfection, but in the future these girls are supposedly going to be representing their country.
Supposedly she's a very indulgent mother-in-law. Whenever a courtier told Diana and Fergie that they couldn't do something, they would go to the Queen and get her permission.
I highly doubt anyone would listen to her at this point anyway. All the family seems to care about is their own personal gratification and expecting the Queen to keep the Republicans at bay. Frankly after the Queen is gone I see the whole thing falling apart.

Especially since Charles is probably going to be 80 when he finally inherits the throne.

If he even lives that long. I wouldn't be surprised if the Queen outlives him.

Prince Phillip is still going strong at 87. Charles has good genes.

Wow-she looks great! (I hate to brag, but I actually feel kind of better about myself-because um, I have a similiar figure-a little big more of a tummy, but that's it)

I wonder what her hip to waist ratio is...that is what you call curves!!!! But yeah it's kind of sad that almost the entire British royal family is trashy, very very trashy. The monarchy won't survive much longer with those dolts running about it.
