She said she was a little letdown by the sparkling though, that's all she would tell me. But there was sparkling??? I need my sparkles!

Is that a groan of pleasure or of pain? Pleasure, baby.

Is that a groan of pleasure or of pain? Pleasure, baby. On a serious note, while I'm amused by Robert's willingness to speak openly about his dislike for the book and the character (I feel much the same way), part of me wonders if he's not biting the hand that feeds him. It's refreshing to have an actor speak truthfully and not spout scripted responses but it's also a movie that might lead to bigger and better things for him. I'm not sure I'd want to hire someone who was so willing to trash a project. That being said, I wonder what he'll say next.

I think he is hilariously honest in the book's shortcomings, but I also don't think he's totally trashing the movie.

I think he's trashing Stephenie Meyer and her clear and obvious issues more than anything else. I think any potential future employer will probably look at his drawing power more than his honesty; a girl had her nose broken! People crushed in Hot Topics! Who cares if he talks about problems he has with the source material? You can't buy that kind of publicity.

It doesn't matter if this movie gets trashed in reviews (I'd be surprised if it doesn't). If it does good b.o. producers will want to grab them some of that. And, god, he totally nailed SM to a tee when he said she obviously thought she was Bella and that the book read like her fantasies. Oh, and that she was "mad."

I guess it depends on how the person does the trashing. I think he's kind of funny therefore I'm amused and don't care. I guess when you infuse the trashing with personality and charm and are actually funny then people are willing to give you a pass. Well, I am anyway. I have no idea how movie executives think.
I think the Natalie Portman way (i.e dismissing the Star Wars movies) probably isn't the most charming way. She doesn't seem to do it with the same kind of pizazz.
In this case I don't think he can pretend anyway about how the movie or books look. I think if he did try to pretend people would probably think he was clueless (and possibly pretentious). I guess it's a fine line between showing that you are aware of certain things and have a certain amount of intelligence about the way people will perceive things about the product you have produced and.....not ticking people off?

Rob makes the Sexiest Man Alive IssueFor me, his openness and honesty is one of the most attractive things about him. He just doesn't really care, or at least that's the facade he puts on. He's going to be on Ellen on Friday and I can't WAIT for that interview.

They should probably let him handle more of the Twilight PR duties because he was just on Leno and was the exact opposite of Kristen Stewart on Letterman. Funny, smart, good sport. Even with the lack of showering or hair combing, I think he helps himself out with every appearance because he comes off so well.

I thought that he did a great job in Twilight. To me, he really changed the character and gave him some depth that Edward did not have in the books. He played him as a very flawed character and it made it much more bearable. Plus, he has a lovely smile.
