Jeez, you could nest vultures in that hair! What a mess.

Am I the only one who thinks he actually is conventionally handsome? His face looks symmetrical to me. And he has a prettiness that conventionally handsome men have.
Yeah, okay, his hair is pretty nasty and he does look kind of weird in the Twilight film but I really think he is what a handsome guy would normally look like. His eyes are a bit Chuck-Bass-ish to give a bit of edge but overall I think he fits whatever the definition of handsome is. Clean him up and try to get him away from whoever directed this vampire movie to make him look as pale and red-lipped as possible and he'd probably out-prettify every other 22 year old in Hollywood.

No, you're not alone. I think he's incredibly pretty, and I have since his Cedric days. Which is why I think he goes out of his way to try to hide it. He's not the first guy to attempt to uglify himself, and for me, it's no more effective at hiding the pretty than it was when Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt attempted it. I think he made the perfect Edward because of how sort of alien beautiful he was on screen. It's not a bad thing to look at for 2 hours.

I also think he's very good looking. The hair is more than a little weird, though, and it looks like he could hide a wallet and keys in there. I was a little surprised that he admitted on Jay Leno that he doesn't like to wash and isn't concerned about personal hygiene. Ick. It makes me wonder what other things he neglects. Like condoms. Dude looks like he could have an STI or four.

I think he's incredibly pretty (definitely better looking than Zefron). He'll grow out of his hygiene issues eventually. I agree that it's just to put off the fans right now.

I think he made the perfect Edward because of how sort of alien beautiful he was on screen. It's not a bad thing to look at for 2 hours. I think based on his self-awareness about the character of Edward Cullen, he's well-aware of how he looks and what he's perceived as. I believe that he does want to be taken seriously as an actor, and he knew to tread the line very carefully going into something like "Twilight" (he wouldn't be the first to use 'fluffy' material to springboard himself into more serious roles. IIRC, for instance, Gene Hackman did 'Superman' to pay the bills). So, I do think he knows he's attractive -- very attractive -- but I think he, for the time being, wants to be personally off-putting so that the Twifans can separate him from his character. (If he has any hints of the fandom is like, and I would wager that he does, I can see myself doing the exact same thing.)

I just saw an interview they did with him somewhere, I think at ComicCon, and the interviewer asks him what it's like to face all the (screaming girl) fans. His answer? "It's, it's terrifying. It's...it's like the sound you hear at the gates of hell." That is the best answer ever. I couldn't stop laughing when I read it.

Seriously, I dragged him to the Breaking Dawn release party (I'm a lulz-fiend, what can I say?) and he asked to be taken home well before midnight because all the squeeing. Topic: I like this guy more and more every time I read a quote from him.

I think his self-deprecation is quite real and I don't think he thinks he's all that. I think he knows he's not totally repulsive, but I don't think he buys into all this hype surrounding him. I do think that part of the non-hygiene stuff is to make himself seem more unappealing to the teenagers, which just makes him more appealing to me. And he's even more breathtakingly gorgeous in person. And I think part of the greasy hair thing comes from constantly running his hands through it. When I met him, his hair looked quite clean, but by the end of the evening, it was a greasy looking mess. Hobo or not, I'd bang him like a screen door in a hurricane. And he actually seems really intelligent, so we'd have amazing pillow talk afterwards.

Saw him on Leno and he was very personable. I thought Heidi Klum was flirting with him. He seemed like a nice normal kid, kind of shy.
Is Twilight worth seeing?
