These 2 clips have Sinead sounding better and looking happier than I’ve seen/heard her in a long time, she gives a wave and a smile near the end in the clip of Nothing Compares ,that to me is her in a good place in this moment and that’s all I wish and hope for Sinead no matter how she gets there, I want her in a good place, this cruel island harmed her and the world dismissed her. She deserves peace, contentment and respect for how ever she finds that peace however fleeting it may be.( I sadly don’t think her troubles have just gone away) tho she seems in a good place. This version of The Pogues ..Rainy Night in Soho...is just right and lovely as it should be, that voice is still something else. ETA This article on the reaction to her converting to Islam or reverting as she said is quite good. And exactly as said in article if she were to pass away the tributes would pour in but alive certain people see her as sport and target her ruthlessly. She's in a good place for now and we should be happy for I know I am.

Jackie is the first Sinéad song that ruined me forever. And I think about it every time I stand in the vicinity of some lost at sea memorial or other.

Love The Lion and Cobra album esp those songs mentioned. Tho not written by Sinead but by Gavin Friday and Bono for the In the Name of the Father soundtrack one of my favorites ever is You made me The Thief of your Heart

I love that song too, fitz. She has the most haunting voice. I was happy to see her in the Top 100 Women. She's gotten a raw deal in the press.

She’s fine. If anything she’s doing better than she has for a long time and her voice still resonates. Tonight on Irish telly chat show, she dedicated this song to frontline workers all over, Sinead sang Thank you for Hearing me.Lyrics very apt. To all our frontline workers Thank you indeed. Edit Changed link for a better version

All good no drama Just stumbled upon of this The Foggy Dew from an awards thing long long ago(90s) when Sinead performed live with The Chieftains at an Irish awards ceremony thing in a hotel ballroom by the looks of it. Tin whistles trad Irish music and Sinead, hauntingly beautiful.
