Anyone reading this series of books, since the latest, Brisingr, was just released? I am not, but that's just because I hate the lumpy, warty, grumpy looking dragons on the books' covers.

I think there's a thread for The Inheritance Trilogy -- ahem, Cycle -- already.
But yes, I read it. I actually attended the NYC book signing at Union Square. Paolini sucks at reading his books out loud. I did get my picture taken with Gerard Doyle, yay.
Anyway...Brisingr (lousy name for a book) wasn't as loltastic as Eldest. The funniest parts in Eldest were when Eragon was getting all stalkery and moony over Arya, and that sort of "romance" was missing for the most part. I was deeply chagrined.
Now maybe I can sell my autographed copy on Ebay...

There's an autistic kid at my school who LOVES the Eragon cycle. Like, does his book reports on it and explains in detail why the movie doesn't live up to the book. The Spec Ed teacher and I have been waiting for the book to come out (he doesn't know it did already). She's buying it tonight and we are putting it in the resource room for him as a reward for working. I think we both feel like parents on Christmas morning, waiting for him to see the book.
Never read the books, though.
