I think something untoward happened between Bill Cosby and Lisa Bonet. I have no proff of this it's just a feeling that I have.

Just think about it for a second when Lisa was on the Cosby show she "left" the show for no good reason.

Then Lisa got her own show (A Different World) and then she left that show too.

I just thought it was because Lisa was batshit crazy. I mean, I think she's actually kind of cool in a hippy-dippy way, but crazy. And not crazy like throwing furniture around crazy but rather the kind of girl who would fancy herself a modern day messiah.

I always assumed she left because she was pregnant and unwed. Bill Cosby frowns upon that doesn't he?

She left The Cosby Show because she got married very young and with more publicity than the producers found comfortable. She left A Different World because she got pregnant right around the time the producers realized it was the other characters holding the viewers' interest. "Denise" couldn't carry a sitcom on her own, but "Whitley" & "Dwayne" could. For a while...

Seriously, does anything Cosby make outside of Fat Albert--I'm being generous including that--even stand up to five years?

Everytime I see his name now, I get flashbacks to the Girls' Bike Club on him. The line

"Better that mental image than the one of him chasing this poor gorked-out woman up and down the halls of his mansion on his girls' bike and trying to pedal with his pants around his ankles. I mean…damn. You're America's favorite dad, hoss. Get a grip on yourself."

does me in. I have to laugh, even though the subject is so gross.

In a way it's kind of impressive that he can ride a bike with his pants down. It can't be easy.
The chasing women part ruins it though.
