I think this is a good, self-aware quote from her. From the EW interview:
More power to her for creating this futuristic, dance pop alter ego. I read that she puts a ton of thought into every aspect of her live shows to make the whole thing an experience for the audience rather than a mere concert. I sense a very shrewd and intelligent woman underneath all the artifice -- very Madonna-esque.

I saw one of her videos last night at a bar and it was certainly eye-catching. Well filmed and lit and kind of different, I could see that someone had put a lot more thought into it that the average dance video.

I like her music, but what really endeared her to me was that crazy dance she did on AI - just totally freaking out at the end of the song. No one who does that takes themselves too seriously, and I am fond of her for that.

I don't know what was in that link, but I saw a blog the other day that said she's walking around town with a tea cup and saucer. It had a picture and supposedly she will not go anywhere without that tea cup and saucer, like an accessory.
Now, I don't know if I find that incredibly annoying and douchey, or incredibly hilarious.
