Buzz Sugar has some nice things to say about the show - and posted a solid two minute preview. It's kind of odd to see a show about the fabulously rich premiere at a time when so many networks are readying shows about the recession, but this sounds like it could be some fun, lighter Summer entertainment. And I've always kind of rooted for Feuerstein (when he was on The West Wing, I was a big fan), so I'm glad to see him back on TV.

I thought it was cute--not great, but good enough that I see the potential in there to keep tuning in. The relationship with the brother was good, and I liked the PA. What I didn't like was the hospital admin "soul-mate", she seemed shoe-horned in.

What I didn't like was the hospital admin "soul-mate", she seemed shoe-horned in. These are pretty much my thoughts on it too. I liked the relationship between Hank and his brother and it had some cute moments. Mostly harmless summer fun. But the hospital administrator bugged me mostly because she is clearly way too young to have a job at that level, even at a crappy hospital. Why couldn't they have picked an actress closer to Hank's age than someone who looks 28? The PA looked older than her. Some spots were cheesy and the brother kinda got annoying in a few spots and the fiance was a total cliche, but overall not too bad. The two main things that bugged were the hospital administrator and the way Hank got fired and then blackballed by the ENTIRE NYC medical community over a situation where he did nothing wrong. Could I see him getting fired from the hospital if the board demanded it? Sure (especially if they wanted a wrongful termination suit on their hands). But Hank is supposed to super-doctor, and I can't imagine that no one else with no connection to that rich dude who died wouldn't snatch him up in a minute.

They did some awesome casting with the brother, those two definitely look like they could be related. I'm kinda hating all the potential love interests they've thrown in already though with party girl and the hospital admin. I already know what'll happen in a few episodes, Hank will be dating the the admin when party girl comes back and says she's still in love with him and OMG love triangle! I really really hope I'm wrong about that.

Caught this program by pure chance yesterday night, and liked it enough to watch the pilot online afterwards. Fun (although the premise is a leetle OTT, lol – loved the German Count and his staff), summertime, actually filmed in the Hamptons, and with some potentially interesting story lines coming up..why not?

Have only seen the pilot so far. Cute but not great IMHO. Then again, most pilots kinda suck and cram in way too much stuff. In this case there were too many cute girls chasing after Hank for various reasons. The brother was annoying after a while. And yeah, the reason he got fired? Completely crazy. Wasn't he on his day off when all that stuff happened? Makes no sense at all that he would be fired like that.

I've caught every episode of this during their mini marathons. I actually like the rich kid, Tucker(?) and his girlfriend the best. The ballerina episode was on last Saturday and I thought the brother's little dance while he was making the meal for the girl was adorable. I've liked him since Road Trip.

I've been enjoying this so far, too!
There is great chemistry on Team Hank - between Hank, Evan, and Divya. They are a fun team to watch -- and you can't beat the banter between Evan and Divya.
Very cool case in the most recent episode. I can't believe I didn't figure it out after they saw the deer on their run!

This has been a great summer show, imo. I think it's playing on interesting angles... 1) we want to be voyeurs and see how the rich live but 2) rich & famous are people too, get sick, have problems. This, In Plain Sight, and Burn Notice, are all must-see summer tv shows for me.

I think this show is just okay and really nothing to write home about, so it kinda blows my mind that it is just kicking all sorts of ass in the ratings (It has increased every time that it airs. That's practically unheard of). But I'm glad that it's doing well.
And as far as USA goes, it's not too bad. They seem to mainly specialize in light, entertaining, but not-so-great-writing shows. Psych is light and cute, Monk used to be, but the writing on that show has been down right ridiculous for the past couple seasons.
I think Burn Notice and In Plain Sight are the best written shows on USA (BN for always being stylish, fast-paced and entertaining, and while IPS has gotten more dramatic and dropped a lot of the goofiness from last season, the writing and characters are much deeper and tighter), I'd put Royal Pains below those two, but definitely above Monk and probably Psych - since I forget to watch Psych half the time and I do watch RP.
