The details of his salaries for his projects are rather fascinating, as is that email. A peek behind the curtain, so to speak. And he's still pretty low on the Hollywood totem pole. Imagine what the contracts are like for the true A-listers.

It really is. The email was interesting because I've wondered why he didn't become bigger after Star Trek was such a success. Appears he was wondering the same thing.
But it also seems like a REALLY dumb career move to let word get out that you don't pay your agents. Is there some mitigating factor I'm not getting?

Does it make me a horrible person that I briefly wondered if any small talent agency would agree to file a bogus lawsuit in order to drum up publicity for a brand new movie starring one of their clients? The early scuttlebut seems to be that the movie is okay but not great, but based on that article I'm curious to see his performance.

He got $5mm for This Means War? Wow, I wonder what Reese Witherspoon got for that film then.
I was watching Princess Diaries 2 (which was way worse than I remembered it being) last night and he played the sort of love interest in the flick. He was truly awful. His acting has improved by leaps and bounds since that flick.

$5M for This Means War as one of three leads but only $1.5M for Star Trek 2, where he will have to do the heavy lifting as the only lead. Paramount sure is smart and/or stingy with their salaries!
Assuming that email is legit, that is really stone cold of him to drop the agency after nine years with just a few sentences.

If he's only getting 1.5 million as the star of ST 2, it makes me think the supporting players, like John Cho and Zoe Saldana, must be making pocket change. Interesting.
I think Chris is yummy, but he never seemed like the sharpest knife in the drawer to me. He could have handled this better for sure.

Thats a really cheap salary considering how well the first movie did. I would have thought he'd be getting at least 3-5 million. But Marvel is supposedly also really cheap with the salaries for their movies.

Maybe that's why he dumped his agency? He found out that his contract was poorly negotiated compared to what some of the others were getting.
