OK, Fitz. To read some of that guy's posts I *finally* joined Twitter.

How in the hell do the Kardashians, Adele, etc., wipe their asses with those long, pointy fingernails? Does someone get paid to do it for them?

I appreciate the creativity but I do not want my bidet talking to me. That is the absolute last device in my house that needs to be imbued with any anthropomorphic qualities.

LOL, anybody see that movie, Why Him?, with Bryan Cranston and James Franco? Either the toilet or the whole bathroom talked and the main character had some serious diarrhea. The bathroom was voiced by Kaley Cuoco, and her discreet cough with a muttered "turning on fan" when he was blowing up the bathroom made me laugh so hard I cried.

I am late to "The Masked Singer" party and have been looking at clips on YouTube. With the exception of stunt casting politicians, are all the contestants professional singers past their professional prime?
This seems like a less intriguing premise than "Dancing with the Stars." The singers would execute consistently and it wouldn't be necessarily difficult for them, whereas part of the appeal of DWTS contestants is that most don't have dance backgrounds (yes, I'm aware that some do) and therefore they have to work harder to compensate for an effective performance.

There’s a fascinating documentary on PBS about the history of the blue jeans. I was always told that blue jeans were invented by Levi Strauss in the 1870s in order for workers to have a durable cloth to use while working. However, black slaves during the 1700s in southern states (specifically South Carolina) processed the indigo plant to make the characteristic blue dye using techniques from western Africa that have been around for six millennia. So, there’s another American invention that actually came from African-Americans, but credited and patented by a white European immigrant. Riveted: The History of Jeans

So, there’s another American invention that actually came from African-Americans, but credited and patented by a white European immigrant. Riveted: The History of JeansI read an interesting bio of Levi Strauss not that long ago. He really was just the backer and had nothing to do with inventing or designing the first jeans--since he was already dealing with a fairly successful textile business, the tailor who came up with the design for jeans approached and asked Strauss to be the financial backer & he agreed, and was the one who applied for the patent. But denim had already been in use, it wasn't the material per say, it was the design of the jeans that got the patent. I don't remember the details but as I recall it didn't sound like the original tailor ended up making much money from it, for some reason, although the Strauss family became very wealthy. And, the owners of Levis (the company) are still descended from the Strauss family, I think through his sister. (He never married or had children, so his sister's children inherited the company. I could be off on some of the details, but that's the gist of what I remember!

Not all are past their professional prime. Lil Wayne and Jojo Siwa were both contestants
