Ooh, I nearly forgot one of my all-time favorite books...A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.

Basically, anything Tom Robbins has written. Great, great author!
My faves: (titles and content)
Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas Skinny Legs and All Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates Jitterbug Perfume Even Cowgirls Get The Blues
I'm also very fond of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker series, but especially:
The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish!
Salmon Of Doubt is also a fabulous title.

Some of my other favorite titles ever are the ones that utilized the "three words/things" title-style craze of the mid-'90s-'00s. Like Edwidge Danticat's Breath, Eyes, Memory (which is a brilliant collection to boot) and a cool (if disturbing) short story I came across in the O. Henry Prize anthology for 2003, Three Days. A Month. More. (by Daniel Light.) Oh, and a little OT, but Dwan? Thanks for mentioning When a Fan Hits the Shit. This? Has to be the most messed up thing I've ever heard of. Especially because of this part and (very graphic story--not for horse lovers) this one. Holy. Shit.

I'm also very fond of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker series, but especially: The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish! *runs off to drag out old books* Did you know that there is going to be a sixth book in the Hitchhiker's Trilogy? It's called And Another Thing by Eoin Colfer who wrote the Artemis Fowl series. Due out in October.

I didn't know where to put this, since the Current Events, Plagiarists and Fakers and WTF threads didn't feel right, but I wanted to mention it here, for those who haven't been keeping up: The sociopath involved in the infamous Bit of Earth scandal referenced above? Has now been linked to a triple homicide. And started another fake charity. Thanks, Dawn, for pointing me in the direction of this never ending fraud. It's an insane story, but it's been an education in how dangerous con artists are.
