Tyler was so supportive and incredibly mature. I cried throughout most of that episode. Really beautiful.

What was the bracelet exchange? Didn't see the ep, but it sounds so sweet. What awesome, thoughtful kids. The adoptive mother bought identical silver Tiffany-style bracelets with a heart charm on them (looked kinda like this) for herself, Catelynn, and one for the baby girl that she could wear once she was old enough. The moment she presented them to Catelynn was sweet. Tyler was very supportive, but I was kinda amazed at how supportive they were of each other. It really felt like they were two kids from crappy homes who discovered that in each other they actually had some emotional support and could lean on each other.

It just killed me when she gave birth, and everybody's all, "YOU GUYS NEED TO LOOK AT THIS BABAY," while the two of them just held each other and cried, and he was all, "It's all for her, we're doing this for her." I was bawling my face off.

I'm just catching up with this. So far I've only seen Ebony and her mentally challenged boyfriend. I know he's young and stupid, but it didn't make me feel too good about our military - that guy really was borderline challenged beyond mild. And Ebony herself was so articulate. Damn these girls and there terrible choices, makes me so sad.

That just brought tears to my eyes. That's so sweet. Were the hearts engraved or anything? I'll have to see if this ep is on YouTube or something. It's rare you see two kids like that, even if they come from "good" backgrounds.

The hearts were engraved with "Always in my heart."
I just happened to flip past MTV and hit the reunion special right at Tyler and Catelynn's segment, and these kids continue to impress the hell out of me. They are both so mature for their age and pretty articulate and well-spoken. And it was so sweet the way Tyler gave the adoptive father a big hug when he came out when they first met, he seemed to be a bit put off by physical contact and just shook his hand.
Catelynn also mentioned that her mother had her at 19, meaning that MethMom is only in her mid-30s. I would have put her at late 40s/early 50s, easy. And speaking of MethMom, Catelynn also mentioned that she hasn't lived at home for the past several weeks because she couldn't stand all the drunks stumbling around the house and the constant loud music (she's staying with Tyler). Those poor kids. Again, I wish I was super-rich so I could scoop them up and send them off to college and make sure that they are set for life and never have to return home.

I wonder whether the Megan (?) the one who supposedly couldn't tie her shoes, is still in school.

I just watched the reunion. Catelynn certainly found herself a prize in Tyler, sideways baseball cap notwithstanding. None of the other baby daddies were what I'd call good father material.
I have no idea what Ebony sees in that dude. I give their marriage about 3 years tops.

I'm just watching Catelynn & Tyler on the reunion show and I'm already crying. They're both beautiful people.

You know what killed me too? I think that in the adoptive couple, Catelynn feels love and compassion from someone unlike anyone she's known, which I think makes her feel like they're her 2nd parents, and that makes her (and Tyler) even more endearing--and more mature!!!!! I felt like she was the oldest out of that whole group of girls.
