I read that too and I'm glad that Tyler cut off contact with his father, realizing that the relationship was just too toxic - although isn't he married to Catelynn's mom?
But Catelynn did say that she moved out of the house because she couldn't take it there any more. I hope they find a way to go to college in some town far, far away.

I loved the ep with those 2. The crap that their parents were spewing "all the kid needs is love" infuriated me. Those 2 made such a brave choice and showed themselves to be mature beyond their years. I was worried their parents would wear them down to the point that they would change their minds.

I was immensely proud of those kids in that episode. They were so mature and so loving to their daughter. I cried like a baby. The boy impressed the hell out of me, too, because he wasn't trying to weasle out of the baby, he was trying to be a man for her. I hope they go to college and get married and have a baby of their own some day.

Tyler was great and clearly stepped up for her (at the hospital he even knew the childbirth lingo, showing that he was an active participant in all of this). And I was really impressed with how supportive they were of each other. They're two kids who came from crappy families who seem to have found solace and a support system in each other. I was really touched by how those two kids could be so loving with each other. I really hope they take the money from MTV and use it to build a good future for themselves.

Is anyone watching Teen Mom? I didn't want to make a new thread if no one else was around ..
It's .. disturbing. Maci seems to be the only one with any sense whatsoever. Farrah? Spoiled brat who is desperate to date (I'm getting a kick out of the fact that her baby looks like Farrah's mom - I'm sure she loves that). Amber? Anger issues, and a genuinely ugly person. Caitelynn and Tyler? REALLY F'ed up home life - but they had unprotected sex? REALLY? I would never ever want an open adoption. They're screwed up kids - I can totally see them taking a road trip to find Carley (and MTV would probably put them up to it).
It's so much more tragic now that the babies are here. What does it take to get kids to LEARN?
And my personal pet peeve that is like nails on the chalkboard - the grammar! Good Lord, when is anyone going to learn to stop saying "Me and ...". Grrrr

I'm watching it. And agree with everything you said.
Amber, in particular, is atrocious. What an overly entitled lazy slob who needed to be jailed for smacking around her boyfriend who did nothing but have the audacity to speak up to her trashy father. Gary needs to take that baby and get the hell away from her. Not that he's exactly a prize, but she's completely unstable.
I kinda think this show is heavily scripted, especially when it comes to Farrah's scenes with her "boyfriends."

What did Farrah say to her sister? That she misses her daughter and she should be spending more time with her instead of going out with Shaq? Then her sister was basically like, "Uh, yeah, duh." Then Farrah started crying? WTF! Moron. I'd like to smack her in the face. My parents give me shit if I ask them to watch my kids for a few hours every couple of months while I go to the movies. haha.
Amber bitching about wanting a diploma, wanting a diploma, wanting a diploma, but she doesn't have the money to support that, wanting financial assistance, etc. Is she working now? What the hell difference would it make? She's such a spoiled, whiny, little bitch. (Granted, I've only watched two episodes of this show.) Then she put the baby to bed in just her diaper (cold!) and her fiance told her to change the baby. "I'll change her in the middle of the night." "Promise?" What the fuck? Get off your ass, dude! If Amber's not going to change the kid, you, as her father, should.
Who would have thought the one that named her kid Bentley would be making the most sense?
Does... Does Tyler's dad have a actual mullet?

Yeah, lots of scripted stuff. Catelynn and Tyler looking at all of the Carley stuff online was no doubt filmed and re-filmed for drama. Wouldn't they have a much better chance of healing if they didn't have cameras pointed in their faces hoping to catch drama about the baby? How can you try to go back to a normal young life when you're making a documentary about giving up the baby? I'm completely expecting another pregnancy there. Those two are flailing.

Shit just got real over here. Amber beating the shit out of Gary? Dayumn.
Catelynn and Tyler are totally flailing, I agree. When they kept talking about going to see her and how mad they were that they didn't even know her last name. Well... Yes, it's an open adoption, but you can't call the shots since you gave your kid up for adoption, kids.
Oh, my God. Catelynn just pointed out to her mom that she always chooses her boyfriends over her (Catelynn) and her mom said it's always been that way and Catelynn needed to get used to it? Holy hell. SHE needs to be adopted.
