I thought Heigl was charming. I just wished she and Butler had more chemistry. I thought Judd and Jackman had more chemistry in their version of this movie.
Then again, movie stars never seem to have chemistry so maybe I shouldn't be that worked up about it. I have to go watch tv shows to find chemistry between actors.
But Heigl was good in it. I thought Butler was good too, but it pained me to see how bloated and out of shape he's become.

I love romantic comedies and chick flicks, so this is not snobbery, but I thought this was a piece of crap. I think Katherine Heigl is a really talented comedic actress, and I liked her in 27 Dresses and Knocked Up, but this was just awful.
No chemistry between the leads, and the premise was both predictable, badly executed and frankly, insulting. And on a shallow note, neither lead looked good. Butler looked like a smelly drunk and Heigl had yellow hair and bad skin. I haven't been this grumpy leaving a comedy since What Women Wants.
I have to agree with Seth Rogen -- how can Heigl call Knocked Up misogynist and then do this movie?
I was in a theater full of 16 year olds (ish) and they were in hysterics the entire film. So maybe it's just me who doesn't get it.

Just watched this (and some other Butler movies.) Guess I'm the only one, but I actually really liked it and laughed out loud a lot. Butler was good in it, but Heigl was great. She does high-strung really well. I loved his reactions to her vibrating scene too. Hee. I liked this better than Knocked Up (which I did like), but maybe that's because I'm tired of the "schlubby guy getting the hot girl" schtick. Gross generalization alert: this only happens if said schlub is filthy rich and said hot girl is a golddigger.
