He made a very good James Dean, that was great casting. He looks similar and has a certain quality about him that's reminiscent of James Dean. He won a Golden Globe for that too if I'm not mistaken.

Bumping this thread because I lurve me some James Franco - thought he was excellent as both James Dean and as Daniel Desario in F&G. And I agree with squalorholla that if ever a biopic of Jeff Buckley is in the works he's really the only sensible choice. Gorgeous and a good actor to boot, I'm a little surprised that he's not a bigger star than he is.
And he's looking utterly smokin' in the trailers I've seen recently for "Tristan and Isolde" - enough to make me put aside my dislike of weepy romance movies to go see it. Shallow, I realize ...

I am so excited for Tristan and Isolde. I do have a question about James, does anybody know if he is still dating that girl from The Practice, her name escapes me at this point.
