Yikes. I'm really disappointed in the way she put that. But I also can't really think of what else she could do. She and Franco are both producers on that show, so it would have been near-impossible to do something like, say House of Cards did: remove his character, recast his character, etc. I can't even imagine how she personally could have proceeded, quit the show? There are also the jobs of hundreds of people involved, especially several women and people of colour. What a clusterfuck. In any case, I didn't continue watching after the first 2 episodes of season 2. I couldn't stand looking at his mug, and I really cannot figure out what his secondary character is even there for, just a big ego-boost for him to play both.

I watched one episode and thought, "life is too short to watch something this depressing." I understand why people might find this time period and subject matter interesting, but I just couldn't find anything about it to hold my interest.

I enjoy the show, but yeah, this final season is mostly depressing (with two episodes left). |

At least he's admitting the truth, but really he's just making things worse for himself with his feeble attempts to excuse his behavior. Not that I have any sympathy....
