I assumed that was a Welsh thing - anyone confirm this? I only found it listed in one site--and not listed in several others. I also checked a name-obsessed couple discussion boards and haven't seen anything.

I have put my hands over Batgirl's ears and am pretending I didn't hear that. But yeah, did Batguy's grandmother's name have to be the big break out name of this decade?

Sparrow kind of reminds me of Apple, I don't really like either name, but they're not cringe inducing like Bronx Mowgli, Pilot Inspektor, and Moxie Crimefighter.
Just think, there's still Meadow, Shadow, Willow, & Woodrow if they decided to have more kids.

Pillow if the kid's chunky. Hey, maybe then we'll finally have a mate for Blanket.

I just watched Patch Adams, and decided to read more about the real Patch Adams. Turns out his first son is name Atomic Zagnut.

Nicole Ritchie's delivery overshadowing famewhore Alice Evans'! Priceless. If I hadn't read this thread, I'd not have known.

So does that mean you don't want to stand under my umbrella, ella, ella, ella...? *pointing* Go to your room, mrspickles! RIGHT NOW! And Batmom, it's a beautiful name, but yeah, dang it, it sorta is the Jennifer of Batgirl's generation, ain't it? That may be the bestest name since Moxie Crimefighter!

In defense of Ella, the Jennifer of Batgirl's generation is clearly Madison. And/or Mc/MacKenzie. GOD, no more of those.

Waaaaaaaaaay back in high school, my friend and I went on an extended bit where we passed a bunch of street names and were like "OMG, ridiculous celeb baby name!" - I'm still waiting for them to be put into use: Tamarack, Nolina, Nantaskeet, Madison Grove, Zaphyr/Zatib and I forgot the rest.
And this was right around the time when we decided to name one of our daughters Pandora and every birthday we give her an empty box wrapped as a gift and when she's about to open it, we just scream "Don't open the box, bitch! Haven't you learned by now!?"
Topic? Sparrow is irksome and too hippy-dippy for my tastes, but there are worse celeb baby names.
