I hate to break it to you, but Will has decided to stop doing action flicks. The movie Hitch is supposed to herald the new Will Smith-benign and bland romantic lead. While I applaud his effort to change genres, he should really just stick to what he's good at-chasing/being chased by aliens.

And I agree, if he was going to do anything it would be action as his acting sucks to high heaven. Now? Well, maybe he should vanish for a while before the sickness factor just pisses us all off.

I always liked him. He's not my favorite actor or musician, but he's pretty cool. I'll always love "Summertime". That and "Parents Just Don't Understand."
Too bad his wife is falling into the clam shell.

Aw, I hope not. I think they're cute together.
Deep down, I know that he's cheesy, but I can't help it -- I love him. I think he seems smart, funny and cute.
[whisper]I also really like "Switch."[/whisper] Oh, the shame.

I liked Will Smith and Jada Pinkett much more before they were WillandJada. After their marriage, they got a bit weird, and too attached at the hip. I mean, yay for love and all, but damn, have a separate personality, people! Plus, his movies have sucked big fat donkey toes for the past few years.

He wasn't that good in Six Degrees of Separation. Just had to get that out.
I always preferred Carlton anyway.

You know, I was watching VH1 (yeah, the one that used to not try to be so hip) the other day with the hubby...and I see this song is called "Switch".
Funny. I would think at one point it was probably called "Hitch", just so it could be the theme song to his movie.
Because, ya know, anyone who's a music star who stars in a movie naturally needs to have a song to sell the soundtrack.
Or maybe I'm just being too cynical.
Or maybe there's no such thing as too cynical when it comes to Hollywood.

Just wanted to dig up this thread to say I hate him. Not only is he irritating in interviews (he just comes off as totally irritating to me), I have a story about him that makes me not like him. Probably about 10 years ago, when I was about 9ish, and Fresh Prince was really popular, I was taking some after school class near me. Will Smith lives in the area and we saw him at the gym playing basketball. There were probably 5 or 6 other boys my age there, and when he was walking off the court, we asked to have his autograph. He just walked away and drove off. Jerk. I know celebrities can't bother to autograph for everyone who wants it, but, geez, would it have killed him to make the days of a bunch of boys who really liked him. Anyway, it may be irrational, but I haven't liked him once bit since then and I stay away from endorsing anything he does.

I am keen to watch Pursuit Of Happiness.
I'm glad he's not letting Jada drag him into Clamdom because if he did he'd become dead to me.
