He bugs me greatly. I hate people like him who always have to be "on". Phony with that big stupid smile of his and that stupid laugh. I want him to go away. I am pleased that we have been seeing less of him these days. I suppose he has been picking his scripts more wisely these days. No stupid, mindless blockbusters. And, of course, well Jamie Foxx (a member of his black actor posse) has an Oscar now, so we know that Big Willie is a little envious although he professes to be SO proud of Jaime. He bugs.

I don't like his movies, don't think he's a great actor, but he seems like a decent guy. I'd rather deal with him than celebrities who walk around pissed off all the time because they've been "cursed" with fame and money. He seems like he appreciates what he has and how lucky he is.

I like Will too. He's cocky but in a charming kind of way. Unlike assholes like Jaime Foxx who think they're the second coming or something.
And big points for him and Jada for not converting to Clamdom. His answer to Tom was very diplomatic. Translation: Tom's batshit crazy but Will knows not to antagonize one of Hollywood's biggest stars (however long that may last).

Though I think Jada is still very enthusiatic about the Clamdom thing whereas Will isn't and he's just put his foot down therefore it is just not happening. And yes. His response with the decline was very Will Smith - charismatic and diplomatic.

Put me in the "I like him" category as well. He seems to keep himself in line pretty well. I just remember him telling Barbara Walters that he regretted not making his first marriage work, and he thought it's "wrong" not to keep your commitments and keep your family together. Obviously, he still got divorced and that's fine with me. But I thought it was a refreshing change from those celebs who get married and divorced every couple of years like it's no big deal and then refuse to admit they made a mistake, "I don't believe in mistakes" or "I live in the present", which I think is the worst arrogance there is.
And I love Will's Tom Cruise comment, mainly because it confirms that yes, CTC spends all of his time trying to convert everyone he meets into the cult.

Indeed it does. I like Will, too, so I'm glad he's avoiding the clutches of the clam. His wife, however, not so much. I think Will being so damn successful, having a nice little family, and being a stable 40ish male while Tiny has turned into a nutcase probably helps him Just Say No.

For me he does get a demerit for saying Scientology has "brilliant ideas" (saw him interviewed on Extra! this past week). Sure, he could have been humoring Tom and Jada, but "brilliant" is laying it on kind of thick for me.

I like him. He's charming and I like his personality in interviews.
His action moves are the only ones I'll watch - I don't care if he's playing the same character in each one. In fact, I don't think I've seen any of his films other than the action movies. huh.
Also, like his rap/pop songs. They're fun to dance to.

This is less about him and more about his son---that kid is wearing on me. Every interview I've seen him in he seems so dang big for his britches. Like he's heard that he did a really good job in the movie and it's inflating his head. I shouldn't want a child to get smacked down but I do. He just seems so smug. Entirely too smug for a 7 year old.

I'm dying to see "Happyness", it just looks so good and his lil' boy is adorable. (Plus Mr. Spin is native to San Fran, so he's all jazzed to see it, too)
I'm SOOO glad that he issued some sort of response to the mess that is Clambo. Good for him!
