Holy crap, Kim Cattrall totally nailed Cora's accent and baby voice. I found a cast list here--I had been wondering why "Julian Fellowes" looked familiar. Who was the newly-arriving housekeeper at the end supposed to be? Some British house-cleaning TV personality or something?

I just like the way "Bates" keeps tipping straight over like "Timber!"

Now I'm wondering if Julian Fellowes is as really full of himself as he was portrayed in the skit.

Is anyone else watching the new Upstairs/Downstairs? I still have to get to last night's episode.

I'll keep my mouth shut until you watch the last episode. FYI, I read they're doing another season of Upstairs Downstairs but with 6 episodes this time.

I've never seen the original U/D, so I can't compare, but I enjoyed it. Not as much as Downton Abbey though, I agree.
I was really hoping that Lady Perse's interest in fascism was some sort of teenage rebellion type thing, but I guess not. It is kind of funny how the chauffer and the German ambassador(?) resemble each other. She must have a type.

The original Upstairs, Downstairs had a bit more humor in it. There were some characters that were slightly crazy. Of course, there was the serious stuff, too. This version is well done and I enjoyed it. I just wish that the female characters were more likeable. They're all kind of bitches.
