Hopefully that Turk managed to give Mary the clap before he shuffled off the mortal coil. Meanwhile, Matthew certainly is living up to not being a gentleman.
I *heart* Gwen and Lady Sybil. Sidenote: I didn't think that wine colored dress would work with Gwen's hair but it totally did!
Poor Mrs. Patmore. Here's hoping the nice members of staff can help her out for as long as possible. Loved her attempts to tell Daisy that she wasn't Thomas' type. Speaking of which, poor William. He deserves better than Daisy. Well, maybe ten years will give Daisy enough time to improve.
Loved the War of the Roses, but just the fact that the dowager Lady Grantham never recused herself from the Grantham Cup was horribly tacky and ill-bred of her.

Mr. S. and I are both loving DA -- so much so that we both visibly recoiled when he hit Delete on the ep and the next thing we saw was Kimora Simmons being her trashy, gauche self. Talk about culture shock.

I know, this show is amazing. I love all the characters, except of course Mrs. O'Brien and Thomas. Do either of them have any redeeming qualities? I don't think so.
I love Mary and I teared up with her when she was sobbing in her room. It's sad that she feels so trapped. But it's good that she's learning that she cannot play with people and their feelings. Edith is pathetic and bitter. Mary's sigh, eye-roll and walk away from her at the flower show made me erupt with laughter though.

Heh. I love Mrs. Patmore trying 800 different ways to tell Daisy that Thomas is gay, and she never picks up what Mrs. Patmore is laying down.
I like Sybil the little suffragette.
Thomas is a dick. I hope he gets some sort of comeuppance. Bates and Anna are adorable.

I feel bad for Edith. She is living in Mary's shadow and Mary makes sure she knows it. I must admit I don't mind seeing Mary being brought down a peg or two. I think sybill is my favorite of the sisters. I can see her running away with the chauffeur.

Yeah, I don't like Edith, but I feel sorry for her because Mary is awful to her.
But if that letter to the Turkish ambassador mentions Mary's little romp, I wonder if she'll cause problems for the whole family. I know this is 100+ years past Pride and Prejudice, but I keep thinking how the whole Bennet family could be ruined by Lydia's actions, and Mr. Darcy rushed in and arranged the quickie marriage to save the family's reputation so he could marry Elizabeth. I know wants to get at Mary, but I wonder if she'll shoot herself in the foot (Sybil probably won't care and will run off the with chauffeur or something equally "shocking.")

I think it never crossed old Lady Grantham's mind before that she didn't deserve the Cup. No one had ever said otherwise to her, and she's just not very aware. Then, when even her son was joking about how they always gave her the Cup because she's the Dowager Countess of Grantham, it finally hit her that she (or, more accurately, her gardener) wasn't really deserving. Good for her for (finally) doing the right thing, although heaven knows it took long enough.
I about fell out of my chair laughing when Sybil showed up for dinner in bloomers. I can see her running off with the Socialist chauffeur, too.

I loved that harem pant outfit, I wish they had shown the dinner conversation afterward.

Wha?! That's the ending? I know it said they were filming a part II, but that was the most anti-climatic end ever. Downton Abbey, you're killing me!

Gah! Why are Mary and Edith so evil to each other? Don't they know that if they keep this up they'll be old spinsters with only each other for company?
I'm pissed that Thomas basically gets to walk away with no comeuppance. Dammit, I wanted unpleasantness! At least O'Brien had the grace to feel bad, but...damn lady. Awful.
I can't believe we have to wait another year before we get more!
