That quote is heart wrenching. How sad to lose something you love like that.

Always thought he looked like a squashed pug but he just went up in my estimation because he can REALLY sing. He's got a great voice.

Bourne Legacy promotion has started. 2 interviews with Jeremy. Empire Esquire I liked the Esquire one the best because he's talking about himself and not his roles. He's really passionate about renovating houses. Wonder if he & Brad talked architecture throughout filming.

Saw the trailer for the new "Bourne" movie and it looks like a terrible, awful mess. On top of that, I just don't get his appeal. He doesn't have the looks or charisma to be a leading man. He's like a poor man's Tom Cruise (circa 1990). Squashed pug-hobbit indeed. He can be funny but I cringed at all of his scenes in The Avengers and thought in MI:GP it was plain obvious he couldn't hold up a franchise.

I am not a fan because he seems so sour and pissed off in every movie. And short and squishy-faced and very, very bland. I just want to yell at him to cheer up.

I thought he was fantastic and charismatic in The Hurt Locker and fairly good in MI:4. He was overshadowed by other actors/characters in The Avengers. I heard he was great in the Town but I haven't seen it.

He was really good in The Town. He received his 2nd Oscar nom for that movie.
I'm looking forward to seeing him in Bourne. I think he's good the right look to be a rugged, dangerous operative on the run.
I must admit that his interviews are pretty entertaining. He's a no holds barred kind of guy. Didn't he get stabbed over Christmas in somewhere like Thailand? I don't recall reading too much more about it. Renner does strike me as the type to have a few drinks then get in a bar clearing brawl.

I'm looking forward to him in Bourne, too. I like the franchise, and he goes against the typical action hero type, the way Matt Damon did. If he can sell the physicality as well as Damon I think it'll be good.
I like his acting, but I think he underwhelmed in The Avengers partly because of what his character went through. I felt a bit sorry for him because the other actors could all be 'themselves' for the duration of that film, but his character was under a spell for the first half and there wasn't as much time to bond with him.

canuckcutie, he didn't get stabbed. Someone in his party did. Jeremy said he got the hell out of there.
